A Fruitful weekend..

Over the weekend, God moved big time and we had a few lads from the Boomerang Project give their lives to God and ask to be baptised, which is flippin amazing and one of the ladies came to a woman's event at church and enjoyed it.

The best part was, that it wasn't just the boomerang volunteers that helped them through the process.

Different parts and people of the church all made this happen. Gods body working as one.

The fruit is starting to come.....

Getting my Study on !

My Bible study, is going really well, its freakin hard but challenging. I am still in shock, that me of all people is willingly undertaking this, I feel so not a bible study person.

Right now I am in Titus. And have been made to do all sort of weird and wonderfully tasks, this week's best, was pretending to write down a sermon I was going give the church in Titus. (i would let you read it, but i am afraid your brain might not take the genius of it, haha)

I also feel like we are starting to see real movement amongst the Boomerang Project people that we love. Its all about just loving people unconditionally, and trying to lift of their burdens that they walk with through Gods strength.

Good Week. x

An ILL Weekend...

So its turns out i havent gone to brigthon this weekend, as i dont think my body could handle it at the moment, with still not being 100% in my body.

So Instead, on my weekend off, I have been sleeping, drinking lots of Green Tea, catching up on TV (Documentary on David Bailey and Jean Shrimpton famous photo shoot in New York in the 60's and a film called Education with Carey Mulligan , both very good), reading and generally feeling sorry for myself, which is never good.

But it has given me a chance to catch up on some reading, last night I finished Rebecca By Daphne Du Maurier, it was recommended to me by a friend and its really good, very dark but keeps you hooked.

But now i have nothing to read, well I do but, I might just go back to faithful Jane Austen, who always helps me in these times,

Whatever you are doing hope your weekend is better than mine. Muchas love xxx

Book Writing...

k

For the first time ever, I am actually trying to write and finish it. My spell check at the moment is getting thrashed. I am doing this with the help on NANOWRMO. I am 5 days into it and I am actually getting into the writing process now. The first day was freaking hard, was literally at war with my body to say still and write, but am now really enjoying it, its just hard finding an hour out of each day, so at the moment I am writing mostly on my lunch break, on the bus and a few half an hour slots here and there.

I have always wanted to write a book, it doesn't matter if its the worst book ever written, as I don't plan on showing it many people, but its just another thing crossed of my list.

Only another 45,000 words to go....

God Questions From a picture...

God, Today, I have had to eat, a blueberry muffin, a bowl of mushroom risotto, a stir fry, peach cake and whipped cream, and Scottish Toffee tablet and countless cups of tea.

God ,what has this other Child of yours had?

Why are the Tables so turned in My favour God?

I am not moaning, but sometimes I just don't understand...

I see the above picture, and I just cry, and I know this is nothing to the way your heart hurts...

I can't imagine the pain of this...?

Why do you not step in?

How Ridiculously blessed am I ?

Howling Wind

Last night at the Food program we do at church. I met 2 guys who are sleeping in tents. On some green field somewhere. they said its been okay when the weather has been nice and sunny, but as today defiantly feels the beginning of winter, I can't help but think of them.

Right now I am lying on a nice comfortable warm dry bed, with clean duvets and thick woolly socks from M&S ... whilst they are out there freezing, only a thin piece of canvas to cover them from the blazing wind and relentless rain, I hear outside crashing against my window... and to be honest I feel like a hypocrite.

I rant about trying to help them, yet here I am, all snug as a bug in a rug... But do I want to give this up and go and join them.. Flip No !

So what Am I suppose to do? I am praying for them but it just doesn't seem enough, we are trying to get them sorted with supplies and are feeding them and trying to get to know them, but it doesn't help the instant problem of 'tonight and tomorrow and the day after that they are in the cold' .

It's a tough situation, but there is nothing more really I can do , they really need to help themselves...

But no matter how much I try I can still hear the wind and is it me or does it keeps getting louder and louder....

My First song.

'I gave you brokenness , Shame sin and dirt.

You gave me unending love, freedom to be joyfull and hope.

The most unfairest swap, yet you drank it in, Suffered it and lived it for me

The purest heart stop beating on earth.

I don’t always get it, don’t always see...'

the above lyrics are from my first proper praise song, I've wrote and put out into the world..

I played it the other night to people, but didn't tell them before, just slipped it in between some Hillsong, was seriously shaking but they went with it.praising..

Who'd of thought it, me writing a song.. about the goodness of God.

If you'd have told me this 4 years ago I would of laughed in your face, but here I am...

Hilarious... Gods so Crazy cool.

Love him.xx

The beginning of Country life...

I admit it, at first I really didn't want to move here...

I didn't really like the house or the extra added travelling time to work. But this place is starting to grow on me. Riding my bike down sunny country lanes, visiting ye old pubs and the local village cafe. Hearing the farmer behind our house, work the sheep (and shout swear words at the sheep dog), hearing the Church bells right out in our back garden, just the general quaint middle England vibe. I fear I am becoming more and more at ease with it by the day.

Also the house, is not so tragic as I first thought, there is a lot of potential...

And to top it all off, the local library/community centre, is having a series of golden oldie film nights, the first film being high society..with tea and cakes. How awesome...

Country Life is not so bad...

Suprise Saturday Prayer...

Today I had a great opportunity happen. To cut a long story short, a lady came into the shop and ended up wanting to purchase a metal heart with some scripture on, but she wanted to know if we could put a hole in it, as she wanted to put it on her necklace...

Never one to shy away from a challenge, I put my thinking hat on, and came up with an idea...

A few shops down from us, there is a shop that does a key cutting service and all that jazz. The Man always likes to make jokes at us Christians. Once remarking to me ‘you’re a Christian, but you’re so nice’. He is always up for a giggle and a pop but I know He is curious about God.

So I thought I would pop into his shop, see if he can help... after nattering to him a while about the metal heart, which he said he could do... I asked how much he wanted for it... at which point he mentioned his back was hurting... so I asked him again, how much? Which he replied, I don’t want any money just say a prayer for me on Sunday about my back ... after being a bit stunned I replied ‘ why Sunday.. Why don’t I just pray for you now... He replied’ you can’t pray here, don’t you need to kneel down and that... no no no... Fair enough I said... okay, pray now then, he stuttered...

So I proceeded to put my hand on his shoulder over the counter whilst everyone looking in through the window and pray for him...

I admit I took a sneaky look whilst we were both standing with our eyes closed and he had on the biggest grin on his face....

Once we said amen... he kept going that’s amazing , amazing and then proceeded to tell me how sweet I am, he answered a phone call and finished the conversation by saying’ he I just got prayed for, God bless you ‘and he then tried to set me up with his 24 year old son, showed me a picture and everything....

So there you go... I have wanted to pray with him for a while and get his perceptions smashed of God, as I am sure he sees God as the judgemental God like the ‘ fire and hell’ placard peeps shout about, were holding today in town...

The lady was pleased with the necklace, but to be honest I really didn’t care that much great customer service I know. I just thanked her for being part of Gods plan in seeing this guy know Gods love....

So there you go a great Saturday story...
What a great, loving, creative God we serve... xxx
