Taste of Variety..

Today has been a Good day.

First of all, at work we had a lady come in, who'd came in a few weeks ago and we prayed for her friend . The friend has cancer and the lady that came into the shop wanted to pray for her and to have opportunities to share her faith with her and for the lady with cancer to give her life to God.

Well the lady came into today and her friend has given her life to God and her Cancer is shrinking.... How flipping amazing is our God. he takes 2 little girls prayers and not only hears them but acts....

Great news....

So today, each time I looked at the bible, the same scripture psalm 34: v1-9 (MSG) kept appearing.

Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see—
how good God is.
Blessed are you who run to him.

This is my favourite part, taste God's Goodness and see it. Last night I went to an Arabic restaurant and the food is very different not my usual, but it's variety right. This morning I had a Chai Tea Latte and again not my usual... but I have been trying to mix up the variety. Now these may seem really insignificant things but God is the God of variety and I want to join in that....

So Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see...God and his variety... its been made for you to enjoy...XX

Science talks....

Yesterday I was at work, and I was speaking to a mate, all the while there was this girl a few steps behind listening in, every so often she was nodding or shaking he head, eventually she came up to ask for help, (she was buying a present for her mum, for her birthday) so after showing her some idea's so came to the counter with her purchase. and we got talking , well you know what I am like, little miss chatterbox.

Anyway, so she used to be a christian (she later said she would consider herself a christian 'she believes in God, but all the theology side is just a whole mess to her).

She went off to do philosophy Degree at university and has since struggled with all the questions that this has made her throw at her faith.

She made a bold statement of 'Faith and science just don't go together, I've read Dawkins and his fellow people's books and though I don't agree with the viciousness they come at faith with, they ask good questions, I've asked my pastor and he can't help me really'

I spent some time talking about how actually science makes me personally more crazy in love with the Creator God and ended up giving her a Louie Giglio DVD 'How Great is our God'. I made her promise to watch it, then she has to come in and tell me what she thinks, even if she thinks, it's a load of ****.

This Girl is my kind of person, working out her issues, open to say 'I don't get it'. She has looked at the other side that many Christians don't and yet still there is something there in her, that has made her not throw away God completely.

I told her she will never get all the answers and she knew that, I think she was just tired of the Christian responses we hit back to challenging questions with. I do this!

I love people that Challenge and enquire.... God loves them also...in fact so much more a hundred times more than me and then some...

I Will let you know, if she comes back in to chat about the DVD.

Front line Story

We had a guy com into the shop today asking about a DVD... we got chatting (well I was a nosy git) and he started to open up about his journey in life in the last 6 months.

He had been going to a Church Of England spiritualist church. FYI- it doesn't exist, I even asked the next CoE minister who came into the shop. As he started to go the this place (I ain't calling it a church), he noticed that his personal life basically went downhill pretty bad and very quickly...

It got to the point where he was considering ending it all.... and yet he thought it was okay, it had CoE all over it and the Reverend (the leader was called that) wore a dog collar and it all seemed like it was all above board . (they cant be bad, if they have the gear on, was his thinking.)

It was only when he took a bold step and asked for help, that he realised what a illusion he had been living under.... and that he had been tricked.

He has been going on an Alpha course and has given his life to God and is getting rid of the scales from his eyes....

I am always amazed how the enemy, seems to be so good at Distracting us and tricking us...me more than anyone.

I sometimes forget I am in Warfare...it seems so odd, I don't see the scenes of a battle field in my average Monday. Yet I am on it. The devil tries to cover it up with the daily slug of the everyday norm. But We warriors know we are in it...

'The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making the world think he doesn't exist' I think this is a quote from 'the usual suspects' ... So True

So to my warriors 'Our God is greater' Thank you Lord for another persons eyes being opened...

'Our call to love, to love the captive soul, but to rage against the captor' -Lyrics from 'o church arise' .
