2 weeks...

Banquet of Praise.

Spread for me a banquet of praise,
serve High God a feast of kept promises,-Psalm 50: 14 ..

Last night I was at our Food Kitchen at our Nuneaton church. Each week is different. Last night, because it was raining, there wasn't as many people as usual, just a few of the hardcore regulars. (I love that we have Regulars.)

These guys come in at 7 as the doors open and stay till the end. In fact, usually we are having to kindly say, 'hay we kind of need to close up'. I love it. These amazing people just want to chat, and laugh and eat and feel loved and cared about.

Last night we were all on one big table, and we switched from one topic of conversation to another, but along the way, a few people shared their testimony and we talked about the perception of God and people's view of Christian's.. We laughed about embarrassing situations and funny stories and jokes.

A real intimate group.

I can actually say, to me it doesn't matter if there is 3 or 23, I just have to love who is in front of me. ( I am more shocked than anyone, to actually mean this in truth, I thought this was what I would always say but never really mean it, it sounds a nice idea, But it's actually how I feel, Shocker!!!)

So great times are happening, with the Food Kitchen. I was reading the bible this morning and came across the Scripture above and it really spoke to me, 'Banquet's of praise' .

It hit me that I am serving chicken stew and apple crumble to God's princes they just don't know it yet... whoo hoo, God is good.xx

Freshly baked slice's of Love...

Just got in from another night at our Nuneaton church, giving out dinner/desserts/Tea + Coffee/ Juice and some freshly baked slice's of Love, To people who are either homeless or on the bread line.

What an a great night, lots of great conversations, another chance to pray with someone and one of our team ended up giving their bible away.. The last few weeks have really seen it grow, in numbers and God opportunities... its exciting..

Its also a learning curve for me... which is good. Helping people get out their comfort zone, is always a challenge. But God has been so faithful.

And we have had a few hiccups, like tonight's food looked like there wasn't any, and we were on our way to buy 20 burgers from McDonald's when at the 11th hour it came..

Also another blessing from it, is getting to know people who have volunteered, which I never really get a chance to do on Sunday's.. and a few of the food kitchen visitor's came to church last Sunday.

God is so good to me and his children.... Exciting times...

Quit focusing on your handicap..

My grace is enough; it's all you need.

My strength comes into its own in your weakness.

Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ's strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.

The one's and two's....

Tonight is another night opening up our Nuneaton church and feeding people. Just the small act of a hot meal and an ear to listen, seriously that's all some of these people long for in the short term, and we pray and try and help out in the long term...

It has started out very small and I feel that's the way God wanted it with us. We get to have decent long chats with the lads, get to know them, become friends as they slowly open up to us..

God really spoke to me about how precious these lads are... they are his princes, his sons and they just haven't realised it yet and we get to walk the journey with them as they come to see his passionate love for them.....

We are very blessed with the few , we know they have been given to us from God, as they are delicate and need special attention from us...

If you are faithful with a little, you will be faithful with alot.'

God Loves his children...

Love it.. XX

I had my ipod on shuffle and this song, came on whilst riding my bike down a sunny country road. It is a cracker from the eighties, classic peter Gabriel... love the lyrics in the song..and it is also used in a brilliant 80's film called 'Say anything...' starring John Cusack... genius...

"In Your Eyes"

love I get so lost, sometimes
days pass and this emptiness fills my heart
when I want to run away
I drive off in my car
but whichever way I go
I come back to the place you are

all my instincts, they return
and the grand facade, so soon will burn
without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside

in your eyes
the light the heat
in your eyes
I am complete
in your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
in your eyes
the resolution of all the fruitless searches
in your eyes
I see the light and the heat
in your eyes
oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light
the heat I see in your eyes
