Suprise Saturday Prayer...
Today I had a great opportunity happen. To cut a long story short, a lady came into the shop and ended up wanting to purchase a metal heart with some scripture on, but she wanted to know if we could put a hole in it, as she wanted to put it on her necklace...
Never one to shy away from a challenge, I put my thinking hat on, and came up with an idea...
A few shops down from us, there is a shop that does a key cutting service and all that jazz. The Man always likes to make jokes at us Christians. Once remarking to me ‘you’re a Christian, but you’re so nice’. He is always up for a giggle and a pop but I know He is curious about God.
So I thought I would pop into his shop, see if he can help... after nattering to him a while about the metal heart, which he said he could do... I asked how much he wanted for it... at which point he mentioned his back was hurting... so I asked him again, how much? Which he replied, I don’t want any money just say a prayer for me on Sunday about my back ... after being a bit stunned I replied ‘ why Sunday.. Why don’t I just pray for you now... He replied’ you can’t pray here, don’t you need to kneel down and that... no no no... Fair enough I said... okay, pray now then, he stuttered...
So I proceeded to put my hand on his shoulder over the counter whilst everyone looking in through the window and pray for him...
I admit I took a sneaky look whilst we were both standing with our eyes closed and he had on the biggest grin on his face....
Once we said amen... he kept going that’s amazing , amazing and then proceeded to tell me how sweet I am, he answered a phone call and finished the conversation by saying’ he I just got prayed for, God bless you ‘and he then tried to set me up with his 24 year old son, showed me a picture and everything....
So there you go... I have wanted to pray with him for a while and get his perceptions smashed of God, as I am sure he sees God as the judgemental God like the ‘ fire and hell’ placard peeps shout about, were holding today in town...
The lady was pleased with the necklace, but to be honest I really didn’t care that much great customer service I know. I just thanked her for being part of Gods plan in seeing this guy know Gods love....
So there you go a great Saturday story...
What a great, loving, creative God we serve... xxx

The Move part 1....
Tomorrow the family home is moving. A day where everything will just go mental and we will all fall out at least once .. (moving not too far, just to a village near by) which at the start was fun, but I am now fed up of living out of boxes, and every time I go to get something, its packed...
So if you don't here from me in a while, you will know its because we haven't got the Internet sorted in the new place ....
see you on the other side in the village digs. woo hooo....
The Move part 2...and memories....
Today we moved, one family unit plus a removal van and some strong men, meant quite a nice smooth exit, tranist and set up in the new place..... which means I have been cleaning out boxes and finding loads of old pics and memories and trying to find somewhere to put it all and make this house our home........
I love going through old photo's and memory boxes... I love seeing my mum and how her fasion sense rocked, if only she had kept her outfits... seriously... I love her wedding dress..
Above are a few of my favourites.....
Happy Weekend..

Plain jane/claire...
Let them praise his name in dance;
strike up the band and make great music!
And why? Because God delights in his people,
festoons plain folk with salvation garlands! -Psalm149: 3-4
Do you ever have ordinary days, days when you feel,well, blah... You think you are getting somewhere with an issue or struggle, and it turns out, its like 2 steps forward 3 back, well that's what it feels like....
or just a day of routine, you know that day was for God but you cant shake of that feeling of 'where was my contribution' ... actually forget a day, maybe a week..
or just who you are, annoys you, you try giving your annoying habits to God, so you can move forward and get into the holy glow that is just around the corner, but no matter how hard you try, it just ain't happening, the little annoyances, know how to niggle back into your persona.. and it really makes you think, I will never be the glowing disciple of God I can be... I am just a plain Jane with no outstanding qualities for God
any of this apply to you, nah just me then......
I was reading the scripture above this morning, and it really hit me... those people who feel like another plain Jane's and struggle with issues and never really make the grade into the inner circle's of elite christian crew,. God delights over those people, people who don't see what God sees in them...and actually raves over them, in fact he has a party and makes sure they are decorated with his colourful blessings..
how rocking is that....
so maybe you are having a grey day/week/month/year... but God sees you and sees a person who is worthy of colourful decoration... a salvation garland...you are the apple of his eye... gorgeous and green.. a reason for a party....

Scotland the evidence...
A quote in the Kelvingrove Art Galllery in Glasgow, made me smile,,,
Aparently.. in this hotel in Edinburgh Jk Rowling wrote the last Harry Potter Book and there is a plaque in the room... This is so sad, but I took a photo, how I would love to see this...
Burke and Hare style Edinburgh...
My pal kristi... who lives in Glasgow, was great to meet up and have a chat..
Candle Prayers in a church...
I had Such a great time, seeing the family and having a rest time. Glasgow is a great place with lots of memories ...
but its back to the grind for me...

Beautifull Creation....
(The above photo's are from my dad's recent trip. He went on a boat trip in Sydney and the whales ended up coming up really close... Awesome. they look beautifull. )
24-30 What a wildly wonderful world, God!
You made it all, with Wisdom at your side,
made earth overflow with your wonderful creations.
Oh, look—the deep, wide sea,
brimming with fish past counting,
sardines and sharks and salmon.
Ships plow those waters,
and Leviathan, your pet dragon, romps in them.
All the creatures look expectantly to you
to give them their meals on time.
You come, and they gather around;
you open your hand and they eat from it.
If you turned your back,
they'd die in a minute—
Take back your Spirit and they die,
revert to original mud;
Send out your Spirit and they spring to life—
the whole countryside in bloom and blossom.
31-32 The glory of God—let it last forever!
Let God enjoy his creation! -Psalm 104

Be Bold, O Believer. !!
'Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching he might be fully known, and [that] all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.'- 2 Timothy 4:17
Reflection
'When it comes time for us to proclaim the gospel, we can stand in the Lord's strength and He will be right by our side the whole time. Be bold, O believer! Take your strength in the almighty arm of your Father, O child of heaven! 'Tomorrow night, Our church starts a project that we have had a vision of for a while. Its a bit scary, uncomfortable and potentially messy but exciteing and I love that feeling, where God could do anything and usually does...
This morning I was reading the above bit of bible from 2 Timothy and the reflection and it really spoke to me.. Be bold, O believer.. The project is a soupkitchen for people on the poverty line and below. Its something our church is really trying to step into and I am excited that I get to be a part of it...
'If we are truly his, he has called us to some work and office, and he wills us to discharge that office diligently. We are not to be gentlemen-at-ease, but men-at-arms; not loiterers, but laborers; not glittering spangles, but burning and shining lights." (Spurgeon)

Small Lampstands.....
In the last 24 hours, I have had some real nuggets of gold conversations with a few people, opening up, for 2-3 minutes and talking about their views on God or how they feel he is blessing them with small moments of beauty or guidance. (These people usually argue with me the other way..e.g I am deluded and weak for being a christian..)
In a particular conversation, I wanted to really open my mouth and say 'See, I told you, God rocks! ' But God told me to just shut up and let them talk and listen to these small lamp stands of openness to God, which is leading them right to him...
Exciting times.

Be Kind Anyway....
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true
enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway. - Mother Theresa....

Taste of Variety..
Today has been a Good day.
First of all, at work we had a lady come in, who'd came in a few weeks ago and we prayed for her friend . The friend has cancer and the lady that came into the shop wanted to pray for her and to have opportunities to share her faith with her and for the lady with cancer to give her life to God.
Well the lady came into today and her friend has given her life to God and her Cancer is shrinking.... How flipping amazing is our God. he takes 2 little girls prayers and not only hears them but acts....
Great news....
So today, each time I looked at the bible, the same scripture psalm 34: v1-9 (MSG) kept appearing.
Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see—
how good God is.
Blessed are you who run to him.
This is my favourite part, taste God's Goodness and see it. Last night I went to an Arabic restaurant and the food is very different not my usual, but it's variety right. This morning I had a Chai Tea Latte and again not my usual... but I have been trying to mix up the variety. Now these may seem really insignificant things but God is the God of variety and I want to join in that....
So Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see...God and his variety... its been made for you to enjoy...XX
